A Family Devoted to the Bernese Mountain Dog
We are not a kennel — we are a family who happens to breed Berners. Our dogs live in our home, sleep on our couches, and are woven into the fabric of our daily life.
How it started
It started with one dog, and a love that never stopped growing
It all started with a childhood dream to have a Bernese Mountain Dog join our family, and a dog named Roxy who fulfilled that dream nearly two decades ago. Within weeks we understood why people call them a breed apart. The gentleness, the loyalty, the way they seem to sense exactly when you need them — we were completely captivated.
After years of research, mentorship from experienced breeders, and deep involvement in the Bernese Mountain Dog community, we made the decision to breed — not to produce puppies, but to preserve and improve the qualities that make this breed so extraordinary. Our program is rooted in Maine, and we place puppies with families throughout New England and beyond.
Every litter we plan is a deliberate decision. We study pedigrees, health histories, and temperament for months before pairing. We welcome only a small number of families each year, because we believe every puppy deserves a placement as thoughtful as the breeding that produced them.
Our philosophy
Quality over quantity, always
We limit our litters intentionally. Fewer litters means more time, more attention, and more love for every puppy we bring into the world. It also means our waiting families receive a dog that has been given every possible advantage — health, socialization, and a confident, loving start to life.

Every pairing is chosen to strengthen health, temperament, and structure — never simply to produce puppies.
Raised with intention
Our puppies follow a carefully cultured puppy growth protocol from birth — early neurological stimulation, sound desensitization, structured socialization and slow growth feeding plan to ensure strong healthly bones..
Placed with care
We take time to understand each family's lifestyle and match them with the puppy whose personality is the best fit.
Support for life
Our relationship with our families doesn't end at pickup day. We are a resource, a community, and a friend for the entire life of your Berner.
Health standards
We research. We test. We document everything.
Bernese Mountain Dogs are a breed with known health challenges. We take that responsibility seriously. All of our breeding dogs are tested and cleared through the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) before they are ever bred.
OFA Hip Evaluation
Radiographic evaluation for hip dysplasia — one of the most common orthopedic conditions in large breeds.
OFA Elbow Evaluation
Screening for elbow dysplasia, a significant cause of front-limb lameness in Berners.
OFA Cardiac Exam
Cardiac auscultation by a board-certified cardiologist to screen for congenital heart disease.
CAER Eye Exam
Annual eye examination by a board-certified ophthalmologist for hereditary eye conditions.
von Willebrand's Disease
DNA testing for this inherited bleeding disorder, which can affect Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Degenerative Myelopathy
DNA testing for the gene mutation associated with this progressive neurological disease.
